The winter of January 2008 had crawled from the mountains into the Austrian valleys, when it was time to move on, directing JAMBO their vehicle towards east and home to Brunei. Over snow-covered, slippery roads first they then crossed the Middle East countries, some unstable and dangerous, where a short hissing sound could be an insect or a bullet just missing you.

They drove, sometime protected by soldiers who ducked to the floor of their vehicle JAMBO, fearing for their life. Pakistan, Bangladesh and Northeast India they traversed, by no means and easy task. Over flimsy bridges where guards allowed passage, only if a waiver was signed beforehand, "crossing at own risk".

Speeding through an international border on the army's advice not to stop at all, as "the border officers will dismantle you and your vehicle".

They tiptoed among the giant stone jars in Laos and the leftovers of a six-year long "American air-campaign" which left still unexploded mines and crippled farmers, all dropped from planes in a secret, never-declared war. They saw Cambodia, where not too long ago, the Khmer Rouge's political experiment cost the lives of millions, and the wonders of Angkor Wat, which captivate any visitor.

Traversing Malaysia, they returned to brunei on a Sunday morning in May 2008, which completed the solo journey from South Africa to brunei Darussalam. Book two offers you the insight in picture and words of extraordinary journey from Austria to Brunei Darussalam.

Norhayati and Harun completed what few travellers had ever dared to undertake.
